Teen Eight Week Level I Acting Program (Ages 15 - 17)

Objectives
The acting schools 8 week teen’s program, 3 hours each week will prepare students in acting for the film & television industry with emphasis on professional on-set behaviour and procedures. The instructor will focus on training designed to enhance the student’s individual talents along with helping the student acquire professional knowledge and behaviour techniques.

Course is designed for
Teenagers between the ages of 14 (students
turning 15) to 17 years of age who have a strong desire to
work in the television and film industry. The course contents
include Character Development, On-Set behaviour and procedures,
Cold Reading Techniques, Audition Techniques, Role-Playing,
Warm-Up techniques, Improvisation, and “How to land that role”
for a television commercial. The first four classes will concentrate
on how to deliver lines for T.V. commercials; how to perform
silent on-camera improvisation scenes. Last 4 weeks will concentrate
on camera on scene study, understandig the depth of a character,
choice of actions and understanding movement in front of a
camera. |

Class size is limited to 12 students to allow for maximum student/teacher interaction.

On Completion Of Course (An Assessment)
All students will be assessed at the end of level 1 program (8 weeks training, two modules).
Talent will receive in writing an assessment form on the student’s strengths and weaknesses and what realistically the talent is ready for. If student participates only in one module (4 weeks) a verbal assessment will be given.
If a student participates for last 4 weeks, administration
fees for written assessment will be $15 dollars extra cost.
