About Film Acting Camp
Film Acting School Toronto Academy of Acting provides every summer an intensive film acting camp for students ages 14 & up
In Toronto as well as an intensive film acting camp for students ages 15 & up in Toronto as well as Los Angeles.
The film acting school’s summer camp is an intensive program covering one level of training in one week hours 9:00 a.m to
4:00p.m. Monday to Friday. Students will be introduced to on camera scenes as well as on camera monologues, working on character development
and auditioning techniques. Last day involves students having their scenes professionally taped which students may use towards their demo reel.
Rest of footage will give students clarification as to where improvement needs to be made in their film acting techniques..

For students who wish to attend the acting schools program for summer camps for 2 week acting program or the acting schools 4 week acting program, emphasize will be working on more challenging scene material
With understanding of technical aspects of working in front of the camera. Professional standards are maintained from day one while students are trained to take their work from novice to a performance level
In a relatively short time. Class progress is recorded culminating in a final taping. Students will require preparation and rehearsal time.

TWO WEEK ACTING CAMP - Will cover t.v.commercial training, improvisation technique, introduction to scene study as well as concentrating on technique and more challenging scenes the second week of
Training. Scenes are extensively rehearsed and practiced. Class progress is recorded in a final taping. Outside preparation is a requirement of this course.

FOUR WEEK ACTING CAMP - Acting schools camp for the 4 week program will take the novice student to a performance level by the end of the 4th week. Student will concentrate the 1st week on learning
t.v.commercial material, how to audition for a t.v. commercials, working on improvisation techniques and introduction to basic scene study. 2nd week of training will challenge the student with more scenes, work
on technical aspects of movement in front of the camera, voice and diction. The 3rd week will introduce students to on camera Monologue study, preparing monologues for use in auditions. Students will work with
original material as well as published material. Class progress will be taped and the emphasis is on creating an audition repertoire to highlight individuals talent. The 4th week will cover mastering Cold reading and auditioning techniques . Students will be experiencing what its like to be thrown into a cold reading technique in a life-like audition setting as well as having a mock set up of an audition in front of a casting director.. This prepares actors for handling the nerve-racking experience of auditioning. Students will be taught how to prepare an effective resume, learn the necessary business what each actor needs to know to make it in this highly competitive
industry..
