The Level 1 course Outline

  • The Do's and Don'ts in the film/television industry
  • You will learn Lingo examples (Technical Industry Language)
  • You will learn the different type of commercial techniques
  • Memorization tips and techniques as well learning about real life audition (i.e what to wear)
  • Actors will receive scene study and whole script study from beginning to end
  • Choices - How to portray a role
  • Improvisation for commercial auditions and film auditions
  • Techniques for Pick Ups "how to start in the middle of a scene"
  • Hands on training in voice projection
  • Movement and Body Language
  • Exercises for focusing & listening skills
  • You will rehearse from Film/Television script
  • You will learn on camera reading and direction, acting within the limits of a frame
  • You will learn technical aspects of film acting such as blocking, hitting marks, reverse shots, overlapping, confinement of body movement for close-ups, transitions etc.
  • You will mater the art of auditions and cold copy reading so you are prepared each time you go out for an audition
  • THE SUCCESSFUL AUDITION - HOW TO GET THE PART
All classes will be video taped and played back for assessment
* Course length is eight weeks consisting of weekly three hour sessions
