AWAKEN THE ACTOR WITHIN (One Month Course)
 
Overview
Students will work extensively on how to audition for TV commercials with mock auditions where students receive feedback (part 1), acting for the camera techniques (part 1), scene study, daily warm-ups for the body, voice and the creative mind, film appreciation, actor improvisational exercises, drama and the understanding the business of show business (part 1).
 

Course objective
To empower students with the essential knowledge and tools they will need in order to broaden their capabilities and assist them to succeed as professional in the
entertainment industry.

RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNERS OR
THOSE WITH LIMITED EXPERIENCE EITHER IN THEATRE OR FILM
 
Month 1
is 100 HOURS x 25 hours per week of personal instruction and coaching, working mostly “on camera” Each week students will work extensively on:
  1. Daily warm-ups for the body, voice and the creative mind. Each morning actors will work through physical exercises to loosen the body, warm up the vocal cords and open the creative mind.
  2. Actor improvisational exercises and drama have students work alone and in teams to discover natural choices when performing.
  3. How to audition for Television commercials (part 1), with mock auditions that will prepare students for the realities of the audition. Students receive feedback that will empower them to win the audition.
  4. Scene study. Here, students will learn how to read a screen play and breakdown scenes and characters.
  5. Acting for the camera techniques (part 1). Students work together using scenes and will learn the "on set" realities and rigors of take and take after take for the director.
  6. Film appreciation. Each week students will watch a feature film to study in particular, the actor’s performance. Later students will discuss the work. In addition, actors will get a scene from the film to prepare for the following week in the "on set" production shoot.
  7. Understanding the business of show business (part 1). A step by step seminar series that offers students essential advice and guidance on (among other topics) the business of show business, how to get agents, managers, actors headshots, self promotion, networking and your all important image.
 
Benefits
This program will allow Canadian students as well as international students with working visa to apprentice on set for film and television projects as background performers for work experience. Film Acting Toronto academy of acting will set up the interviews with background talent agents for our students.
The one month program will also allow the student to complete all four levels of training in one Month (100 hours on camera training ).
 
Cost
The Tuition fee for One month course is $3,500.00
 
On Completion Of Course (An Assessment)
Students will be assessed at the end of the program.
